Heirloom is not a financial adviser
Heirloom Advisers Ltd is a matching service. We do not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice of any kind. We do not arrange or recommend financial products. Any advice or recommendations you receive are provided by the independent adviser you choose to work with, not by Heirloom.
How we make money
When a person introduced to an adviser through Heirloom signs on as their client, the adviser pays us a fixed referral fee. This fee is the same regardless of which adviser in our network you choose, so we do not have a financial incentive to push you toward any particular adviser.
You never pay Heirloom. The referral fee paid to us by the adviser does not affect the fees you pay them - your costs working with the adviser are exactly the same as if you'd found them independently.
Independence of matching
Advisers cannot pay Heirloom for higher placement, more matches, or preferential treatment. Matches are generated based on the fit between your situation (as described in our questionnaire) and the published specialisms, fee structures, and minimums of advisers in our network.
About advisers in our network
Every adviser in the Heirloom network is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), either directly or as an appointed representative of an FCA-authorised firm. We verify this at the point of joining the network and on an ongoing basis.
The fact that an adviser is in our network does not constitute a recommendation or endorsement by Heirloom of any specific advice they may provide to you. You are responsible for satisfying yourself that any adviser you engage is suitable for your needs.
Past performance and forecasts
Heirloom does not produce investment forecasts or performance projections. Any forecasts or projections you receive will come from advisers directly and are subject to the regulatory requirements that apply to them. The value of investments can go down as well as up, and you may get back less than you invest.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about the Heirloom service, please email complaints@heirloomadvisers.co.uk. Complaints about advice you've received should be directed to the adviser in question. Eligible complaints about FCA-authorised advisers may ultimately be escalated to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
